It’s been four months since I’ve found the inner strength to write for Fox Park. I owe my readers an apology.
I’ve been on a journey of a lifetime. And am only now coming back down to earth.
But space travel has its challenges and with a rocket spinning out of control it was time for me to stop pushing all of the buttons in an effort to save myself and just step aside, shift into auto-pilot and attempt to ride out the energetic storm I felt myself in.
Slowly but surely I’ve found my way back. Reentered the earth’s atmosphere and encountered life again. With a mind that stretches into outer space all to often, the clouds clear in their own time, especially when I stop fighting it.
The effects of astronaut brain leave me mystified, mis-aligned, searching for a sense of reality and finding it only in the awe I feel for this amazing planet we live on. With so much to be eternally grateful for, how can we take it for granted so carelessly, so thoughtlessly...
This question has stuck in my mind...
My search for understanding has buried me in an avalanche of knowledge, the facts of which have set me on fire - I no longer need a jet engine to power me.
Arriving back on earth, where I am meant to be, where I am most needed, awakened the possibility of doing so much more than I imagined.
The responsibility I face everyday, the same one we all do as citizens of this world, seems prevalent in every action that I take.
And in the majesty of the wide open spaces, the grace of the sky that we share, the existence that we are so blessed to partake in - this is the sanctity in which we can gather, this is the alliance we can form, this is the place that we can begin the quiet reformation of life as we know it as we fight to conserve the one place we collectively call home.
For life is not a destination for one individual, it is a representation of the global evolution of which we are a critical element in our present time...
With each of our unique reasons for being here, there is one essential mission we must aim to fulfil. To live out our purpose in respect and love of all life - the global ecology including animal, natural and humanity. We only get one go at this, the time to begin is now.
