Welcome to Fox Park TV Episode 4, where I discuss one thing I wish I'd learnt a long time ago!
When looking at the amazing tributes to Scott Dinsmore, I noticed a pattern emerge... For all of the people who had met him, whether close friends, business contacts, or followers of his work who had only had email contact, there was one thing that stood out for me -
Scott Dinsmore showed up.
Not with his own agenda, not to benefit himself, not to get something out of it - but because it was his nature - it seemed to me that he had a commitment to life - to being present - to being available and open to help someone out or give his full attention and assistance wherever possible.
This is such a rare and incredible superpower. The ability to SHOW UP in life. To be genuinely interested in others and to want to see everyone else around you succeed.
But it wasn't even just that. He also demonstrated the ability to SHOW UP in his own business. To follow through. To do everything it takes in every moment. To do his best in every moment. To be himself in every moment. And to let that guide and build his legend.
Not many of us have this as a natural part of our personality. It has to be worked on. It has to be habituated. But in making a commitment to your own life and in making a commitment to the difference you want to make in the world - it will become a natural part of doing your best in every moment.
And that is all we need to ask of ourselves. We don't need to 'work to change who we are' - we need to simply ask ourselves - "What can I do to bring more of my best into this moment and make my positive impact on the world?"
Watch me - Stacey Brown - Personal Stylist and Founder of Fox Park Co - where we say - "F*ck Being Normal" - find the freedom to be yourself.
