My amazing friend Nicky has stirred something deep inside me this morning, and it made me realise, there was something very important that I hadn't shared with you all yet.
We are all so close to the crazy part of the year, so close to the days of increased pressure to fit into our typical family dynamic, so close to feeling like we are a kid again back in our parents lounge rooms. So close to falling back in to the comfort of a seemingly protective world, where others see you as one thing - and you see yourself as another...
Hidden within this website, has been brewing the Revolution I want to invite you all to join.
Whether it was religion, strict parents, or formal schooling that filled your brain with the rules to live by, it doesn't matter. It's time for you to decide how it is you want to live your life. It's time to choose YOU.
The thing that matters NOW is that you forget everything anyone ever told you, and instead decide what you value most in life. Test the boundaries again, question everything, decide things for yourself. Allow yourself to chose the FREEDOM you are entitled to.
With no further ado, as my next post will not be until after Christmas, I want to wish you all a very Happy Day - and express my love and appreciation for YOU, perfectly unique creative amazing people. This is the creed I live by, I invite you all to join me.
This is not a Rebellion... this is FREEDOM!
The M.A.B.Y. Creed
We will not conform to expectations.
We will not bend under the pressure to be something we're not.
We will not sacrifice our natural perfection for
someone else's superficial ideals.
We will not be traditional, typical, or ordinary.
We will not minimise our importance to make room for another,
we know there is enough space in this world for all of us.
We will not all try to look the same,
our beauty is in our diversity and uniqueness.
We will not be forced into competition with each other,
our triumph comes from working together.
We will not be intimidated,
our strength lies in our resilience and sensitivity.
We will listen to advice, but we may not take it -
our intuition guides our choice.
We will create our art, but we will not suffer for it -
our truth will not be diminished by critics.
We will love our work, but we will not be second class citizens for it -
every job done well is worthy of dignity and respect.
We will live passionately, but not in the pursuit of grandeur -
our success runs deep in our love for life.
We will break all of
society's unspoken rules,
in our quest for the FREEDOM
to be ourselves!
